Tim, I think that, for grappling, the same concept of nonstop movement and high energy can equate to the "many stones" approach. I always try to talk students out of doing this.
There's the newbie version of this, and most folks just call that "spazzing out." For more experienced folks, it's just amping up the potential for danger for you and your partner, but a relentless attacking style can still be really successful at times. Of course, you also have to have a very high level of athleticism to go along with this.
